About Cold Pitch
Cold Pitch is a free open-source project: an AI agent that automates the directory-website building pipeline, plus a 35-lesson course that teaches the methodology.
It exists for one reason. The directory-website business is a real, durable, achievable internet business that almost anyone can start with a few hundred dollars and a few months of patience. The barriers to building one — knowing what to build, gathering the data, generating the site, writing the SEO content, doing the cold-pitch backlink outreach — have all dropped close to zero in 2026 thanks to open-source AI tooling. The information about how to do this work is mostly locked behind paid courses. Both of these things should be public.
The methodology is the standard directory-builder playbook taught in different forms across the SEO community over the past decade. The work on this site is an opinionated, code-first restatement of those principles, plus a complete open-source agent that automates the workflow end to end.
Why I built it
I run mikee.ai — a small set of AI-related tools and explorations. I'd read enough about the directory model to know the playbook works, realized the whole workflow was automatable with current local LLMs, and wrote the agent in a couple of focused weeks. It's the kind of thing that doesn't need to be a business — once it exists, it should just be available to anyone who wants it. So here it is.
What's not here
There's no email list, no Discord, no certification, no upsell. If you find a bug, file an issue. If you build something cool, let me know. Otherwise, take what you need and ship.
